something more. week twenty one

What do you consume?

What information do you choose to digest?

In one way, I suppose this question could be: How do you spend your free time? Or, How do you spend your down time?

A human takes in, (absorbs? integrates? – consumes…) energy and information from external sources, through physical senses.

Input.

Then the human interprets the energy and information, or input, to make meaning.

One’s inner senses are communicators as to how one is responding to what’s happening, or ‘input’ (too much/not enough, comfortable/uncomfortable, safe/unsafe).

This process of consuming energy and information from the environment, or external sources, through one’s physical senses, and then interpreting ‘what’s happening’ to make meaning and ultimately choose how to use the new information, is human intelligence.

Artificial intelligence would take the ‘human’ out of this equation.

In general, a human can choose what information they consume. Additionally, the human can use their intelligent awareness to observe, witness, and notice ‘what’s happening’, as well as be curious about how they are responding to what’s happening. A human can consider desired outcomes for self. A human can also be curious about win-win energy.

A human can choose to slow down and notice where they are in space and time (inner sense – proprioceptive: where am I in space and time?), and take a moment to orient to what’s happening. It’s in this moment where choice ‘hangs in the balance’ between action and reaction.

Healthy humans balance what they consume with what they create. Humans create a story that includes thoughts and feelings about what they experience, and what they want to experience.

Do you consider the time between Memorial Day and Labor Day to be a ‘segment’ to consider personal outcomes?

Or, are the months of June and July a ‘segment’ to focus on new outcomes?

In the book storyitell, by the great author who is me, I talk about the Breckenridge summer, or the ‘Forty’ summer. I timestamped a journal entry that I wrote on June 1, as August 1. I wrote in detail about what was happening on the future date. I read it every morning. As I wrote in the book, I got the outcomes I wanted, but I didn’t sustain them. I now understand that the post dated journal entry creates a sense of possibility. It’s the energetic state that allows for desired outcomes to show up. The feeling state of positive expectancy is the ultimate outcome. When one can familiarize oneself with this energetic state, and learn to be curious about the skills, tools, and strategies that contribute to this state, one begins to recognize the power within. One tells the story about the power within. When one is not familiar with this power within, one orients to the power with-out. This creates a fear based energetic state that tells a story of what can happen – bad. Positive expectancy is the story of what can happen – good.

If you have read to this point, I suggest you allow yourself time to ‘digest’ the information. And then do the next thing that resonates with you. If you choose to create a post dated journal entry for a segment of time, I suggest you do so in Quiet Time and don’t tell anyone about it. Allow yourself to create some space for your own personal sense of what’s possible for you. When you align with the state of positive expectancy (wellbeing, equilibrium, balance), allow yourself to become familiar with it. Let the feeling state resonate within you. It’s okay. You’re safe. It won’t let you down, because it exists whether or not you are intentionally aware of it, or not.

You, human. Are intelligence.

True human intelligence that is aligned with the frequency of wellbeing is infinite in nature, and does not desire harm to self or other.
