Something more.
This morning marks the 16th week of the 2024 blog year. This means that for 16 weeks I have been posting on Thursday morning from the book: something more. Connecting to the pulse of a Shared Humanity. Each post includes the excerpt/weekly blog post that was posted four years earlier. I did the same thing on Sunday, but used the 2021 blog year book: abetterway. Using Inner Resources to create your own algorithm.
Both books are recycling blog posts that occurred at the same time of year. It just so happens, somethingmore reflects 2020, and abetterway is 2021. Significant years? perhaps…
In the world of day.llc content, there is the checkIN and part three of storyitell. How to make the Age of Disruption work for you. These are teachable concepts that I began facilitating to high school seniors on Monday nights beginning in August 2023.
Here is what is happening. I am noticing my own pattern of sharing skills, tools, and strategies on Monday night, that are then mentioned in the subsequent posts. Or, things are happening in real time, that mimic the content I post prior. For example, I posted from abetterway on Sunday, I participated in a meeting on Tuesday afternoon. I reread my Sunday post on Wednesday morning for my own purposes. I sat dumbfounded as it sounded like a script I could have written as a guide/map of next steps relevant to the nature of the meeting I attended in real time.
I realize what I am attempting to describe is not relevant to the reader, it’s relevant to me. What I’d like to convey is the integration of time and space, and the curiosity of cycles. Do you wonder where time came from? The experience of what is called time happened before a system was created to measure it. A second, minute, hour. Time and the passing of what would come to be described as time, was felt first – experienced. Then came the 24 hour period of time. Beginning, middle, end. It was happening, a passing of time was felt, and then it was captured into a system to measure it. Day, month, year. Sun came up, sun went down. It’s in the wondering of the concept of time and space and how cycles work where the somethingmore becomes evident.
Specifically, the concept of ebb and flow has been quite relevant to me this week. It makes me curious about inflammation. Inflammation of cells when something new or unexpected shows up (think food allergy). Allergies and inflammation. Expel and resist. Unexpected events and inflammation we can call an emotional response – energy in motion. “I’m inflamed (angry) at the new information…”.
I share my thoughts because the cycles I am experiencing are illuminated due to my resharing of content I wrote at the same time of year in 2020 and 2021. I noticed it right away, but now it’s April and it only becoming more evident.
Reflective Questions:
- Can you relate to the feeling of accomplishment after cleaning something? And then what? It repeats itself. What does it mean to you? Is there a curiosity about life and growth – the cells continually replicating, releasing, becoming new again…cycles of life.
- Are you open to considering the concept of inflammation and what is happening at a cellular level? Are you open to noticing the same pattern in day and how you may respond to a situation that is perceived as a potential threat, danger, or challenge?
- How’s your Quiet Time?
