The full title of abetterway is: abetterway. using inner resources to create your own algorithm
Define terms:
algorithm – the way I use the term algorithm (for the purposes of my content) is essentially the same way I consider relativity. Of course, I suppose I should now ‘define term’ relativity. Like attracts Like? Which of course is not necessarily true considering oppositional forces, ‘opposites attract’.
The way I consider one’s algorithm is to consider one’s use of Google Search, and consequently what ‘sponsored content’ begins to show up.
Can I leave it at that?

Similarly, how one shows up and expresses oneself has a ripple effect. And that ripple, or energetic frequency, attracts at the same magnitude.
My inquiry to the right will continue to build my algorithm as it relates to what shows up in my digital life. I like noticing what pops into my feed on various platforms, as I consider it ‘data’.
Does it match how I want to show up and express myself?
I am unsure why I was inspired to type the following this morning, but because I did, I am going to share it.
The problem solving model that I shared a few blogs ago related to a kindergarten STEM class, can be applied to self care. When you care about yourself, you find different ways to think about what’s happening. When you care about yourself, you believe in possibility without evidence. The more one practices, the more the evidence of possibility and landing desired outcomes starts to make sense as you can see it happening all around you. The momentum of this begins to take on its own course.
Ask: What do I notice, or What am I noticing, or I’m noticing… In the self care (caring about self) realm, this can be noticing how the nervous system is experiencing time and space. Mind. Heart. Belly. Muscles. Skin. See tips. (from storyitell pt III) for noticing resistance. Speaking of the storyitell realm, one can also notice their own data: what results are showing up? It is my opinion, that when one cares about themself, they notice incremental growth. Growth can be attributed to level of intensity, duration, and frequency. In the case of helpful habits, one might want to increase these areas of growth; and in the case of unhelpful habits, decrease. The ‘opps’ are at play here. And my use of opps is short for opportunities, just like reps for repetitions. Any new skill needs opps or reps to increase frequency and begin to normalize or transmute the less helpful habit. And of course, there will be the next thing to build and grow in the same way. The pattern and opportunities for growth won’t change, but the way we think about growth as a constant supports a mindset that helps one move toward the discomfort with a desired outcome in mind.
Imagine: Speaking of a desired outcome in mind. After noticing, imagine more of the same or amplify what is happening; and if its not helpful, decelerate it by either shifting out of the thinking entirely to reset or slow momentum, and use a general thought in the interim. Once one gets more comfortable with the feeling state of possibility, or even just the neutral state where one can potentially/intentionally birth the feeling of possibility and new ideas or solutions, then one can imagine desired outcomes.
Plan: One may not know all the steps, but one can do the next thing. Depending on what was noticed, and what the desired outcome is, are there next steps one can focus on to move one’s energy in the direction of what’s possible?
Make: In this case, ‘make’ would be to do the next thing: action.
Test: To test would be to observe what’s working with the new system or decision making
Improve: what can I do better?

And now for today’s betterway excerpt:
Reflective Questions:
- What are you good at?
- What is your spotlight?
- Where do you shine?
